In 1920 Cavalier Lorenzo Scavino began to vinify part of the grapes produced in the family’s vineyard, in Castiglione Faletto, a small rural area in the heart of the Langhe region.
Today, Azienda Agricola Azelia is composed of 16 hectares and produces on average 80,000 bottles per year. Luigi built Azelia into a benchmark Barolo address.
