Jean Paul et Benoit Droin
Situated in the heart of Chablis on its unique subsoil, the Domaine manages 26 hectares of the loveliest terroirs spread over the four levels of appellation: Petit Chablis, Chablis, nine Premier Cru and five Grand Cru wines. They have cultivated vines in Chablis over almost four centuries, Benoit today representing the thirteenth generation of winemakers.
The terroir of Chablis brings to its wines a multitude of mineral nuances. In this way, each wine produced at the domaine has an identity, the sincere reflection of its soil.
Droin family attach importance to transcribing and enhancing these nuances, so as to demonstrate the richness and diversity of Bourgogne sixteen specific climats, accompanying the wines without ever overpowering them.
The wines are therefore immediately identifiable through their generous and substantial body and mineral precision. The permanent search for balance between power and finesse and the best expression of each of Chablis terroirs reflects today the demanding nature of passion.
