Francesco Rinaldi
“The transformation that has taken place at Francesco Rinaldi over the last few years is truly remarkable. Today’s wines are cut with beautiful precision and show exceptional harmony. Even better, they won’t take decades to come around.” – ANTONIO GALLONI
The great traditionalist estate of Francesco Rinaldi e Figli is one of the greatest names in Piedmont.
For over one hundred and thirty years, much of the same techniques are still used in the Francesco Rinaldi cellars today producing some of Barolo’s greatest wines.
The blended Barolo is a harmonious and evocative expression made from holdings in both the La Morra and Barolo communes incorporating small parcels in Sarmassa (Barolo), La Cordana (Castiglione Falleto) and Rocche dell’Annunziata (La Morra).
Galloni’s a fan, “…In recent years, Rinaldi’s straight Barolo has been one of the real under the radar gems in the region… It’s refined and delicate in its expression, two adjectives we don’t normally use when describing Barolo.”
