Chateau Pavie Macquin is a Premier Grand Cru Classe B estate located in in the prestigious Saint Emilion.
The Chateau takes its name from the famous Albert Macquin who purchased several chateaux from 1887 and amalgamated their land to create the 26 hectare Chateau Pavie Macquin estate.
Today, the Chateau is owned by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, the Corre and Charpentier families.
This 15-hectare vineyard of Pavie Macquin is planted to 80% Merlot, 18% Cabernet Franc and 2% Cabernet Sauvignon. The estate’s vineyards are found on the Cote Pavie and are adjacent to other highly regarded Saint Emilion chateaux including Pavie, Papvie-Decesse and Troplong-Mondot.
The wine of Chateau Pavie Macquin is at its best, rich, lush, concentrated, long, fresh, and packed with minerality, silky tannins, sensuous textures, and the ability to age and develop for years.
