Founded in 2017, Domain Agisson may considered to be a young estate, but Jean-Philippe Agisson has some serious credentials on his resume. After spending 12 years working as cellar master at Alphonse Mellot in Sancere, Jean-Philippe joined the team at the legendary Domain Didier Dagueneau as the lead wine maker in 2018, a position he holds until today.
Domaine Agission estate in Sancerre occupies just one hectare of wines initially, which they added half a hectare in Pouilly-Fumé starting in 2020. The farming is organic with some biodynamic practices, and the wine-making is straightforward employing hand harvest, gentle pressing, and patience elevage in neutral barrels.
