For four generations of wine-growers, the House Franck Bonville specializes in Blanc de Blancs champagne from the Grand terroir of Avize, a prestigious terroir of the Côte de Blancs.
Domaine Franck Bonville has around 15 hactares of vines in 77 parcels of vines spread across three Grand cru Côte de Blancs villages, Avize, Oger and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger.
The history of the domaine go back to Alfred Bonville, who from approximately 1900 bought up parcels around his home in Oger. Despite the wars he continued to invest after the birth of his son Franck, and in 1937 they bought a house in Avize complete with press and barrel cellar. After the war ended, Franck began to sell Champagnes under his own name.
Now joined by his son-in-law, Ferdinand Fuelle-Dudel, Olivier continues to concentrate on the vineyards and wine-making, and the estate.
The freshness and finesse from their chalky soils show through in the wines of Franck Bonville. Their greatest satisfaction is to offer their customers, thanks to the work done in the vineyards, the aromatic complexity and elegance of Chardonnay.
