Pieve Santa Restituta

Located in the southwest subzone of the Brunello di Montalcino appellation at an
altitude of 350 m a.s.l., the Pieve Santa Restituta estate was acquired by the GAJA family in 1994.
The varied subsoils of the Pieve Santa Restituta estate help define the essence of Sangiovese creating wines of structure as well as balance and finesse. The rocky, diverse soils are wide-ranging among the various vineyard sites and include limestone, galestro, clay, and sand.
For over 150 years, Gaja family has been cultivating vineyards and making wines in the Langhe, Piedmont, and now for nearly 30 years in Montalcino. Each vineyard is a precious, independent organism, a unique universe where different life forms coexist.
