Jean Monnier & Fils
Established in 1720 in Meursault, Domaine Jean Monnier is one of the oldest established properties in Burgundy.
Today, the domaine covers 17 hectare with parcels in Meursault, Puligny Montrachet, Volnay, Pommard and Beaune, planted primarily with old vines ranging from 25 to 60 years of age. It is one of the few domaines in the Côte de Beaune to produce both red and white wines equally.
Experienced winemaker Jean-Claude Monnier and his son Nicolas have amassed the knowledge and experience handed down by their forefathers.
Today, Nicolas vinifies the domaine’s wines in their winery with tender loving care. Whatever the appellation – Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, Volnay, Pommard or Beaune – the wines are first and foremost the fruit of the terroir, quality and tradition.
