Cuvelier
Los Andes
The Cuvelier family wine journey began in 1804 in France, with possession of several prestigious wineries such as Chateau Léoville Poyferré, Chateau Le Crock, and Clos de Los Siete, the estate has quickly become one of the most respected producers in the region.
The history of this property dates back to 1998 when the family decided to expand into South America by purchasing land in the Mendoza region.
Today, seven generations later, they have created a 55 hectares(120 acres) of organic and biodynamic estate in Valle de Uco, planted with Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc.
Cuvelier Los Andes quickly gained a reputation for superior quality wines. In 2005, the winery released its first vintage wine, Coleccion, which was well received by critics and wine lovers around the world. Since then, the estate has continued to produce a range of premium wines, including the Grand Vin, one of the estate’s most famous wines.
Cuvelier Los Andes is now run by Bertrand Cuvelier’s sons, Matthieu and Francois-Xavier, who joined the family business in 2005. Together, they continue to produce superior quality wines, while seeking to constantly improve their sustainable growing practices.
The unique terroir of Mendoza, combined with exceptional know-how and careful winemaking philosophy, has allowed the estate to produce high-quality wines that have received high marks from the most demanding wine critics.
